Since adopting a PG rating in mid-2008, WWE has received flack from fans for their watered-down content compared to the Attitude Era. Let's face it: there will likely never be anything quite like that halcyon period, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the current product is all bad. The roster is filled with more young talent than ever before who are hungry to take the spotlight, confirming the future of the product. And while the spirit is different, the PG Era has offered some seriously memorable feuds, thanks in part to the heaped emphasis on wrestling. But then, as excellent as the in-ring action can be, it's irrelevant if there isn't a solid story in place, and that was part of what made the Attitude Era so great. Regardless of the rating, what makes a rivalry iconic never changes: the right components, impeccable timing, and an entertaining narrative. Additionally, the Attitude Era was known for its never-ending excitement, unpredictability, realism and personal vendettas, all qualities that were present in most of the classic conflicts from that time. The PG product has been lukewarm for some time, but with the right rivalry featuring those four factors, a feud can make all the difference, bringing back that same sense of must-see TV. And while modern wrestling fans will unfortunately never be able to experience the Attitude Era, these 10 riveting rivalries were definitely the next best thing.
