WWE.comIts been quite some time since WWE has had a Spring cleaning and got rid of so many of their contracted talents in one day. It was starting to feel like the days of the wide scale releases were a thing of the past. There were recent rumors that WWE would now simply let wrestlers contracts run out instead of releasing them to avoid publicity, and hurting a talent's feelings on the way out. As weve now seen, that is most definitely not the case. On June 12th, 11 contracted employees were all let go in one day. One by one the names kept trickling in. Some of them were perhaps a bit overdue like JTG and Yoshi Tatsu, but others like Drew McIntyre and Brodus Clay were a bit of a surprise due to their potential. While a few of the names let go should have remained on the roster, WWE seems to have a strange habit of getting rid of quite a few talented and popular wrestlers over the years. Some of these men and women were let go in the prime of their careers, and appeared to have plenty to offer. Others were young enough where they could have matured into key roles in the company. Meanwhile, others on the roster have continued to inexplicably hold onto their jobs for one reason or another. With so many talents being let go lately, lets take a look back at the most surprising and shocking WWE releases since 2010.
