Some of the greatest, most enduring ideas to ever grace a creative team meeting include a young Rocky Maivia suddenly referring to himself in third person as 'The Rock', Mick Foley using three gimmicks whenever Mankind, Dude Love or Cactus Jack suited and Paul Bearer warning The Undertaker that his vengeful brother Kane was coming for him.

Then, there's the other side of the creative coin, one that's less celebrated. No, we're not talking straight-up horrible ideas like The Great Khali as an international playboy or Mae Young cavorting with 'Sexual Chocolate' Mark Henry, we mean those gimmicks that didn't last long at all before the writing team decided to pull the plug.
