Mr. Regal was determined that his mate Chris Jericho wouldn't "old man" him during the second part of their gripping 'Talk Is Jericho' interview. To explain, the AEW newcomer had been a tad emotional when discussing poor health and his love of pro wrestling during the first half.

The UK grappling great almost reached the end of act two without shedding any tears. Almost.

Nobody will be surprised to hear that Regal is a class act in the guest chair. His stories are laced with a sweet blend of comedy and insight, so there really is something for everybody here. Want to know how the then-budding WWE developmental coach changed Jon Moxley's prospects forever? You're on. Need to find out why Regal quit working with Big Daddy on TV in the 1980s? That's here too.

Jericho even pulled out some stories about his true thoughts on All Elite Wrestling's roster, and Regal gave some crucial advice that should stand everyone in good stead. That's the beauty of this two-parter - there's been drama, valuable lessons for aspiring wrestlers, funny moments and more.

Here's everything we learned from story time with William Regal.

10. He Wasn’t Expecting AEW Success

Like many, Chris Jericho guessed that Regal knew he'd be a smash hit in AEW. That's not the case. The man had been in WWE so long that change was always going to require some patience, and that's why he asked Tony Khan to give him a month so he could get his "sea legs" again.

The AEW boss was only too happy to accommodate.

Jericho seemed shocked to learn that Regal didn't see the Blackpool Combat Club coming. The Brit feels "very fortunate" to be working with top talents like Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson right out of the gate, and he's excited about the future now that young workers like Wheeler Yuta are camped out under his learning tree.

The whole AEW experience is "mind blowing" to William, and he's hungry for more. Despite being a legend, he wasn't expecting preferential treatment in his new home, but he's delighted that Khan and the entire roster have been patient with him.
