10 Things We Learned From WWE 24: Edge

WWE's 24 documentary on Edge's emotional return story was supposed to be something else.

Instead of chronicling his colossal comeback at the 2020 Royal Rumble, the Canadian would've discussed what it was like to leave his dream job behind and settle into family life after wrestling. Then, his career prospects changed, and filming was temporarily put on hold as Edge began to realise that maybe, just maybe, he wasn't done yet.

That's just one of the revelations packed into the supercharged and sentimental 74 minutes of WWE Network's latest doc. It's obvious just from listening to Edge talk about everything that he wasn't really expecting to get any closure on his run with the company or even take bumps again inside a wrestling ring. That, just like living without daily pain, was a pipe dream.

Of course, his dream turned to reality, and Edge romped back in style before working a lengthy 'Last Man Standing' epic with Randy Orton at WrestleMania 36. That wasn't shown (the film's footage was all shot before 'Mania), but this is still must see stuff.
