10 Times The PPV After WrestleMania Was Better

This year's Extreme Rules though has no chance...

WWE can't always hit the nail on the head when it comes to WrestleMania. Mania 31 left every single member of the WWE Universe spoiled. Heading into the event expectations were justifiably low. The card was pretty uninspiring on the whole as the superstars involved, and they way their respective rivalries had been set up over the previous months, didn't measure up to Mania cards of the past. Nevertheless, all potential angst was soon forgotten after every match delivered and then some. Even the Divas, who are afforded little time in a match that didn't really mean anything, managed to pull one out of the bag and put on psychologically compelling bout. This year, the pressure that would normally be laid at Extreme Rules' door simply isn't there in some respects due to Mania's success and the fact that the WWE Network is free for new subscribers throughout April. Nevertheless, all efforts will ensure that the event continues the upward curve in momentum WWE has been enjoying since the evening of March 29. It goes without saying, not every Mania can hit the heights of this year's event. Sometimes the stage proves to be too much for both the WWE's booking committee and their superstars in the ring. This means that Vince McMahon needs to hit a home run with the following episodes of RAW and most importantly the next month's pay per view. Here are 10 examples where this has happened in the past.
