It's now been 13 years since WCW went out of business. Questionable contracts, bad business practice, and underutilized talents were all contributing factors to the once gargantuan promotion to all come crumbling down. During WCW's impressive run the focus was kept primarily on veteran talent that had already established a name outside of the company. When the time came for WCW to update its roster and push new stars it was too little, too late. While a couple of names like Goldberg and DDP were successful homegrown WCW talents, others like The Radicalz and Chris Jericho had to leave in order to flourish. Horror stories about backstage disarray and politics cloud the successes in which WCW once enjoyed. Rumors of young stars being held down ended up being true and the company suffered. The mass exodus of high level talent added fuel to this fire and portrayed WCW's top competition as a much more wrestler-friendly work environment. WCW never recovered and now we're left asking "what if?" With the WWE Network and we're able to re-live lost moments and superstars in which time forgot, and witness opportunities missed with 20/20 hindsight. What would have happened if some of these stars were given their due while WCW was still in business?
