For years, British and Irish fans have wanted a UK / Irish stable of wrestlers to take on the might of the WWE and its patriotic USA chants. There hasnt even been a top tier UK Champion (Sheamus is Irish). The sight of a British/Irish stable stepping out each week and laying out the roster would certainly give the UK / Irish fans something to cheer. How could WWE go about this though in an age where most stables begin and end with Triple H? Although The Authority had a good run, the days when rival stables like Evolution and The Cabinet would run their respective red and blue brands seem long gone. Even this week we saw the RAW debut of The New Day only for them to come up very short in the tag-team turmoil match. Basically, stables arent what they used to be. A British / Irish stable, however, would be good for business as it would bring together various wrestlers at various stages in their careers. It would reinvigorate some and create momentum for others. Also, it would create a new powerhouse for the WWE which has become quite individualistic (did Cena really care if anyone got fired at Survivor Series? He seemed more bothered about his title shot being taken away on RAW this week). Yes. This article will be fantasy booking but will also try and follow a realistic path for a UK / Irish stable in the WWE. It will end with perhaps the biggest bit of fantasy booking but one which would bring the house down too. Also, theres only wrestlers currently on the roster so, as much as Drew McIntyre would be great in this stable, hes not currently hired by the WWE. Either way, get ready for The Anglo-Celtic Alliance...
