10 Worst Timed Injuries In Wrestling History

Broken bones that broke hearts.

By Matthew Byrd /

There is no such thing as a good injury in professional wrestling. Even if you don't like a particular performer, you never want to see them go down to a broken body. The toll that the daily life of a professional wrestler takes is tough enough, but an injury can seriously put their career - and sometimes life - in jeopardy. That being said, not all injuries are created equally. Some only require an ice pack and a couple of days rest, while others can force a performer to hang it all up, as we saw recently with Daniel Bryan. Even worse, some injuries come at a time when the injured performer happens to be playing a vital role in the company they work for. When an injury happens to a promotion's top guy not only does it undo months of work by the creative team who are suddenly tasked with paving a new direction, but it also robs the fans of seeing the very best performing at the highest level. Some injuries just couldn't have come at a worse time... *Note: Any injury that led to the death of a performer was not considered eligible.
