10. A House Show Injury Forces Seth Rollins To Vacate The Championship
The moment he used his Money in the Bank contract to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31, Seth Rollins became the king of the professional wrestling world. The moment itself was absolute perfection and it started a title reign quickly became the WWE's driving angle. In Rollins, the company had a young champion who was marketable, able to participate in a series of fresh match-ups, incredibly skilled, and was respected by nearly every type of fan. Then it all came crashing down at a house show in Dublin when Rollins blew out his knee going for a powerbomb. While a promotion never wants to see their champion - or anyone for that matter - get injured, this particular injury came at a time when WWE had gone all-in on Seth Rollins and were preparing him for an epic clash with his former Shield ally Roman Reigns a couple of weeks later at Survivor Series. Reigns was scheduled to end the title run of Rollins at the event, and it's hard to deny that the Roman Reigns push would have been far stronger had he been able to properly dethrone the champ. Even worse for WWE, Seth getting shelved happened to occur during one of the company's most unfortunate injury periods in history, one which is still having an effect on the product as WWE heads towards its supposed "Biggest WrestleMania of All-Time."
