10 Worst WWE PPVS Of The 2000s

Some duds courtesy of the much-vaunted Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras...

We've been subject to some pretty damn awful WWE PPVs lately, it must be said. Just a few short months ago, the 2015 Survivor Series made a great many fans want to throw their TV out the window as they rushed to Twitter to tell their fellow WWE Universe members that they were cancelling their WWE Network subscription right now, never to re-sub again... Those fans really ought to get a bit of perspective, and could do so by having a look at some of the totally piss-poor supercards that fans were 'treated' to between 2000-2009. Yes, during both the much-vaunted Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras, Vince McMahon and company put on some shows that were something rather less than stellar. Yes, during that ten year period WWE did put on some of the best pay-per-views the wrestling business has ever seen (here's looking at you, WrestleMania X-Seven) and they certainly had a stacked roster full of talent for most of that time. But a combination of dodgy booking, performers not turning up and some matches of the 'bowling shoe' variety meant that, every now and again, a show would leave a bad taste in the mouth. It wasn't all thrilling main events with Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar et al. We couldn't all rush to social media back then to get #CancelWWENetwork trending, but we certainly weren't ready to order a replay or a DVD of this lot...
