10 Wrestlers Who Almost Died In The Ring
Heart attacks, broken necks, paralysis and... anal bleeding?
Pro wrestling is a risky business, so much so that WWE have peppered programming with 'Don't Try This At Home' warnings for the past 30 years. Everyone knows those segments off by heart now and can probably recite familiar lines about broken bones or torn muscles; WWE's stars are highly trained professional athletes, don't you know.
Naturally, such warnings are there for a reason, and injuries remain part and parcel of an industry in which scrapes, bumps, and bruises are unavoidable. Sometimes though, a spot gone wrong or an underlying health issue can make things even more dangerous. As scary as it is to think, some of wrestling's finest have come close to losing their lives inside the ring.
Had fortune not favoured them, these men could feasibly have died. That's a terrifying prospect, but does go some lengths to showing just how dangerous the supposedly 'fake' sport really is. Flying in the face of death is a more common practice than you may think.
