There's a reason we don't see too many Piledrivers on WWE television today. One of the most dangerous moves around, the resulting bump relies on incredible care from the person performing it. All the guy on the receiving end can do is trust, and that isn't always enough. Just ask Taz.

Taking a spike variation of the move from Dean Malenko and Too Cold Scorpio during an ECW tag match in 1995, the future announcer was unable to protect himself on the way down and suffered a broken neck. It's been said the fracture was so severe that hospital staff were shocked Taz was even lucid.

Taz had to be rushed to the emergency room immediately after taking the Piledriver, and he was benched due to the injuries he sustained. Had the man's neck not been so strong, there's a fair chance the nasty bump could have ended his career. Worse, it could have been fatal.
