10 WWE Stars Who Are Basically Jobbers Right Now

How are we supposed to fear Kane when he loses every week?

By Graham Matthews /

CM Punk's abrupt departure and Daniel Bryan's untimely injury earlier this year have left two major spots vacant atop the roster. In recent months, WWE has done a superb job in ushering in a new era and preparing for the future. They have three tremendously talented stars in Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns who have all flourished since the split of The Shield. All are bound to become world champions one day, and the same can be said for Bray Wyatt. He's another young, rising star who has turned heads since arriving on the main roster last summer. Each of these aforementioned names will be around for many years to come. For every Superstar that gets their well-deserved push, there are a handful more that don't. Not everyone can be contending for the world title, and more often than not, those individuals are the ones who get lost in the shuffle. There's nothing wrong with being dropped down to the midcard for a period of time, but it's criminal to treat stars with untapped potential like enhancement talent. In reading the following list, you'll be surprised by how many notable names on the current roster have more losses than wins in 2014, essentially earning them the title of "jobbers."

10. Rob Van Dam

After a six year absence, Rob Van Dam returned to WWE last summer. Fans were anxious to see RVD mix it up with all the fresh faces on the roster including the likes of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and The Shield. After building some momentum, RVD moved into a feud with Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship. He failed to win the belt at both Night of Champions and Battleground, taking a hiatus shortly thereafter. It wasn't until the night after WrestleMania 30 that the one-of-a-kind competitor finally made his comeback, giving fans hope that his second run would be better than his first. Unfortunately, it wasn't. RVD scored a few wins early on in his second run, but once his feud with Bad News Barrett over the Intercontinental Championship ran its course, he started coming up short on a more regular basis. From Cesaro to Rusev to even Alberto Del Rio, it seemed as if RVD was losing to just about everybody on the roster. RVD's last televised win on WWE TV came on the July 1 edition of Main Event, earning him the title of "Job Van Dam" among fans. He embarked on a brief winning streak starting at SummerSlam before leaving the company just recently. If the former ECW champion never chooses to return, who can blame him?
