Through everything 2020 threw at them, Impact Wrestling owned the night.

It's important to begin proceedings here by noting that only the onscreen matters of Impact Wrestling will be factored into this year in review. Luckily, there haven't been too many backstage issues with Impact when compared to that of their competition, but we'd be wasting time if we were to dive behind the scenes.

Overall, 2020 was a decent year for Impact Wrestling.

They handled the transition into the no crowd era perfectly, as they should have done since they started shows without live audiences about a month after WWE and AEW had done so. That they've managed to maintain a somewhat consistent quality in their shows since the move to an empty Skyway Studios says more than it needs to about the current state of the company.

Scott D'Amore and Don Callis deserve all the credit that comes their way since taking over the company from an executive standpoint. While there have been a handful of questionable decisions made this year, their swift handling of the #SpeakingOut movement was a key example of the new mantra on offer from Impact - the same mantra that every company should abide by.
