Let's not beat around the bush: last night's AEW was as close to perfect as weekly TV wrestling is going to get in 2020.

This show had everything. It was a night of hot angles and hotter matches as AEW hit their last stop on the road to Revolution, ensuring that even their undercard programmes are going into the pay-per-view with great momentum. Everything from the main World Championship programme to Jake Hager vs. Dustin Rhodes (listen to how these crowds erupt every time those guys get their hands on each other) is over as hell and here, in Kansas City, the build peaked at just the right time. This was the best Dynamite of the brand's entire run.

Everything here felt rich, distinct, and purposeful. Nothing was out of place and nothing was filler. From the much-anticipated Kenny Omega vs. PAC 30-minute Iron Man match that opened Dynamite to the Jon Moxley/Chris Jericho weigh-in that closed it, the right beats were hit, the fuse was lit, and Revolution became the company's most hyped event since Double or Nothing.
