2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 10 - Results & Review)
Love was in the air on this week's AEW Rampage. Love for tag-team wrestling, that is!
Love was the key word this week, and it's rather fitting. Some people love AEW Rampage and others think Tony Khan should hit the delete button like he's Matt Hardy mid-gimmick. Regardless of your thoughts on All Elite's Friday night offering generally, there was a treat in store.
FTR have done it again, ladies and gentlemen.
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are one of the best pure wrestling tag-teams ever. Their main strength is being able to work with everybody. Here, the lads put on a clinic opposite high-flying pair El Hijo del Vikingo and Komander. It was a whistle stop tour of brilliant spots from the latter duo and expert timing from FTR.
Nothing else on Rampage could match that, sadly. AEW really needs to quit it with the unnecessary squashes, and another promising bout fell apart once the main hook was introduced. The way Ruby Soho fluffed her lines near the end remains a mystery even after watching the final few minutes twice.
Not a banner week for the 'C' show then, but a functional one. That main event is worth checking out even if you only watch Dynamite and Collision or check out Rampage highlights on YouTube though.
Here are all the 'Ups' and 'Downs'.
