Since 2002, TNA wrestling has been a part of the wrestling world. Were they an important part of it? Well, at times yes. At others they've been close to a non-factor. Most often, Impact was quite frustrating to watch, but that’s far more on creative than the talent that was on the show.

Through all of TNA’s many faults, they have assembled quite the impressive roster over the years. Currently the WWE Heavyweight Champion, and a recent NXT Heavyweight Champion were two of their most prized alumni. They've produced better talent than what they've been given credit for. However, as we've heard reported, they may not be around all that long, so it’s a great time to look back at the men and women who were the best of the best in TNA.

The criteria we're going by here is how much a wrestler contributed to the company, their tenure, their body of work in the ring and also how much untapped potential they still had in them. TNA was notorious for pushing WWE castoffs ahead of their own talent, but instead of rewarding the Rob Van Dam-types here, a longer lasting TNA original who easily could have played that part wins out.

And while there are a handful of entertaining wrestlers on the roster right now, a couple just don’t quite make this list due to their comparatively short runs with the company (like Drew Galloway for example). But if they continue to stick around, and TNA gets back on their feet, you can imagine this list will look a bit different in no time.

As things stand right now (and perhaps forever), here are the top 20 TNA wrestlers ever.
