This week's Impact looked set to build on the company's solid if unremarkable debut on Pop last week (both in terms of quality and ratings), as the rigor of the World Title Series became all but a distant memory and TNA could once again try to build actual storylines. That said, this week's show was a mixed bag throughout: several segments fell outrageously flat, and it just doesn't feel like TNA are putting as much effort into the broadcasts as they should be if they truly want to build their viewer base up again. Still, it certainly leaves most fans excited for next week's do-or-die main event (though more on that later), and while Pope seemed oddly well-behaved this week, there was nevertheless plenty of insanity to go around. 25. EC3 Thanks Tyrus For Leaving Him Last Week
The night's first segment sees newly crowned TNA World Champion EC3 heading to the ring with Tyrus, and it's not long before he turns his attentions to Tyrus, who of course didn't hesitate to leave the ringside area last week when Jeff Hardy suggested it. EC3 thanks Tyrus for letting him win the title on his own in a tone that's more than a little questionable, and when Tyrus says that he always believed in EC3, EC3 cuts him off rather abruptly, much to his annoyance. This is obviously building towards the two going their separate ways, possibly when Tyrus requests his banked title shot, but when will that be? We'll have to wait and see...
