The second season of Lucha Underground is coming to an end. It was a shorter affair, but still highly entertaining, and filled with a lot of memorable moments. We were introduced to the monster Matanza Cueto, saw Rey Mysterio Jr. enter The Temple, and witnessed Lorenzo Lamas make his long-awaited debut on a wrestling show.

To close things out for now, we’ve entered Ultimate Lucha Dos. It’s the company's version of WrestleMania, spread out across three weeks of one-hour shows.

Wednesday night saw the first episode air, and it left us with a lot of exciting action, and some noteworthy storyline progression to be followed up on next season. This is the first time we’ve covered Lucha Underground in the Up/Down review format, and Ultima Lucha is a great place to start.

Overall, the second edition of Ultima Lucha was a lot of fun. The show exclusively revolved around a four man tournament, featuring a couple of good matches, some insane bumps, and a crazy amount of excitement from the announce team and The Believers. A couple minor missteps didn't stop it from being an entertaining event.

Here are 4 ups and 2 downs for night one of Ultima Lucha.
