5 Reasons WWE Should Sign Samoa Joe (And 4 Reasons They Shouldn't)

Now that Samoa Joe is free, is WWE an option? They might be.

Samoa Joe is a free agent. After announcing on Tuesday that he has left TNA Wrestling due to a failure to come to a new contract agreement, he is now free to pursue other opportunities. As soon as the news came out, WWE fans started getting excited because they think that Joe can finally go work for WWE finally time. It's a little known fact that Joe actually worked in WWE before. It wasn't under contract, though. He wrestled against Essa Rios on a taped episode of Jakked in March of 2001. It was something of a tryout for him at a time right before WWE bought WCW, so they didn't sign him. He ended up making a big name for himself as a top guy in Ring of Honor where he had some memorable battles with big names like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, who was using his real name Bryan Danielson back then. Fans wanted Joe to go to WWE when he decided it was time to move on from Ring of Honor. That was back in the summer of 2005 when there was all kinds of speculation about what he might do. WWE was the biggest company as it still is, but Joe opted to sign with TNA Wrestling that summer. He stayed in TNA for nearly ten years before finally parting ways with them this week even though he was part of their top heel stable, the Beat Down Clan. TNA has already taped shows through the end of March since they tape so far ahead these days. As a Samoa Joe fan for nearly 15 years now, I would absolutely love it if he ended up in a WWE ring because that's where he belongs. Sadly, Vince McMahon and Triple H are probably not going to consult you or I, so what I'm here to do is look at some reasons why WWE may or may not sign the Samoan Submission Machine. If you're wondering, he has no relation to the likes of other famous Samoan wrestlers like The Rock, The Usos or Roman Reigns although we know Samoan wrestlers are some of the toughest guys that there are and Joe certainly fits that label. Here's a look at five reasons why WWE should sign Samoa Joe and four reasons why they should not or may not do it.
