5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dark (Nov 8)

Even AEW were in the dark about this surprise double-helping.

If you're an AEW fan (and honestly, who on earth isn't?), Christmas has came very early this week.

Not only did we have an absolutely, well, dynamite episode of Dynamite, but we have the utterly mouthwatering Full Gear to look forward, headlined by a Cody vs. Chris Jericho match only rivalled by Tim Storm vs. Nick Aldis in anticipation.

Even better, we got not just one but two episode of Dark, after AEW unexpected dropped a bonus episode last night, in the hope of building up even more fervour for their big blowout in Baltimore.

It might seem a little hypocritical to laud the promotion for inundating us with content given the regular criticisms of oversaturation levelled at rivals WWE, but when it's generally so stellar, it's actually appreciated.

Admittedly, the previous episode of Dark was a bit of a dud. Good news then, that AEW got back on track with a, though haphazard, largely excellent go-home, lights-out lead-in.
