5 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2018
Impact Wrestling knocks it out the park with another wonderful PPV.
Impact said it best themselves: Redemption was the first building block, Slammiversary showed everyone how good they can be, and Bound For Glory cherry on top. A new era is well and truly underway.
The build was exquisite for the most part, a few repetitive rivalries aside. But here, even those bouts delivered, proving that the lead-up doesn't always determine final quality. Thanks to the excellence of these clashes, Impact deserve to be classed among America's most consistent promotions once more.
With the X Division and Tag Team Titles uncontested, only two out of four active championships were on the line. Said champions were involved in two hyped matches regardless, leaving Austin Aries and Tessa Blanchard to shine in their defences. Elsewhere, we got surprise appearances, Allie making her way to the Undead Realm, and two six man tag team brawls more than lived up to their hype, rounding off another varied Impact PPV.
Scott D'Amore and Don Callis are doing an exceptional job as Impact management, overseeing the product's transition to a more enjoyable watch. Bound For Glory was just another example of that. Let's get into it...
