WWE taped this week's episode of SmackDown last week during a marathon session in Milwaukee. Typically, that means one of the shows comes across a little flat on TV. The company did sprinkle some crowd-sweetening noise onto things throughout, so your mileage for that may vary.

There was no crowd work needed for LA Knight's confrontation with Roman Reigns though. Man, those guys are tearing it up right now, and things look very promising for their title clash at Crown Jewel. Don't sleep on SmackDown if you need a little extra promo spice heading into that Undisputed Title showdown over in Saudi.

Similarly, you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you slept on Friday's main event between Bayley and a vengeful Bianca Belair. There was a slight negative to the pre-match that earned a 'Down' too, but the actual bout itself was a winner from start to finish, and it really showed how far in-ring chemistry can carry things.

Other notes of interest included a bogus skit between Rey Mysterio and Logan Paul, more directionless Kevin Owens stuff, a fun tag-team brawl, John Cena showing his keen eye for small details, and a senseless Charlotte Flair squash that feels totally counterproductive.

Here's all the good and bad!
