5 WWE Tag Team Reunions That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be (sometimes)...
How cool would it be to see, I dunno, the team of Paul London and Brian Kendrick reunite on either Raw, SmackDown or perhaps downin NXT? It'd be something different, right? A nice trip down memory lane for those of us watching in 2006. And how awesome would it be to see, say, William Regal & Fit Finlay roughing up some greenhorns just like the good old days? I know I'd enjoy it.
Bottom line is, tag team reunions are cool and offer a neat bit of nostalgia for longtime fans.
Indeed, I'm sure that if for example, The Rhodes Brothers' music echoed throughout the arena on Raw next week, the live crowd and social media would be in full-on meltdown mode. Whatever happens after the initial surprise pop could go either way, though. The team in question could thrill the audience, putting on a clinic where they rattle off their signature double team moves or they could just as easily stink the joint out, exposing themselves as a pale imitation of something which was once beloved and great.
We've seen many tag team reunions in WWE, particularly over the past fifteen years are so and, true to form, some have been good and some have been not so. A whole host of former Tag Team Champions have dusted off their matching gear and tried to rekindle the magic but only some have been successful.
Which tag team reunions ruled and which ones sucked? Here's five of each...
