There have been a number of cool looking championships in the history of WWE. The most popular ones among fans are the "Winged Eagle" WWE Title and the classic version of the Intercontinental Title with the white strap in the back of it, which WWE brought back a few years ago. Wrestling fans love talking about WWE's titles because they are representative of something important. Even though we know that everything in wrestling is predetermined and nobody is really winning anything, it does mean a lot when a wrestler holds a championship. It represents the idea that WWE believes in somebody enough that they're going to put a title on that person and hope that they are seen as a bigger star because they won the gold. The idea of giving out titles to performers likely came from boxing. In boxing they have different weight classes, but every champion has their own gold title. The challengers want to win the gold. If a champion was merely announced as a champion without possessing any kind of gold then it would be pretty pointless. Having a physical piece of hardware makes it mean something more. There have been a number of instances over the years where WWE decided to create unique versions of their titles for a particular performer. They do it as a way to have that superstar stand out from everybody else and also because fans love buying titles, which you can see at an WWE event or even at WWEShop.com if you want to buy them from there. Here's a look at seven of the best custom championships in the history of WWE. These are titles that WWE made for a wrestler or in one case, a title somebody made on their own.
