"You're either Nexus or you're against us," was the motto of the original Nexus group, led by Wade Barrett. In what may have been one of the most shocking debuts on WWE RAW, eight NXT rookies made their way to the ring on June 7th, 2010, to sabotage the main event of the night, and destroy everything in its sight. Wade Barrett was the first to make his way down the ramp and cause a distraction during the match between WWE Champion John Cena and CM Punk. From there we saw the seven other NXT rookies make their way to the ring through the crowd, and over the barricade. This Nexus group would first attack Luke Gallows on the outside of the ring, followed by CM Punk. All eight members would surround the ring, and methodically plan their attack on WWE Champion John Cena, who didn't stand a chance. The group went on to attack everyone else left at ringside, including Matt Striker, Jerry Lawler, Justin Roberts, and other WWE personnel. Nexus would also demolish the announce table, and destroy the wrestling ring as well, taking a part the ropes, mat and apron. It was something that we have never seen before in the WWE. The original group consisted of Ryback (AKA Skip Sheffield), Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Michael Tarver, Heath Slater, Darren Young, Daniel Bryan and was led by Wade Barrett. Later, the group went on to include Husky Harris (AKA Bray Wyatt) and Michael McCillicutty (AKA Curtis Axel). With the exception of Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt, who are enjoying success in their new roles, the timing may be right for a Nexus reunion. Lets take a look at why the Nexus group should reform, and be brought back by the WWE.
