During his newsworthy appearance on Steve Austin's podcast this week, the AEW chief divulged info on how the promotion's upcoming Tag-Team Title tournament will work. Before AEW launch their new TV show on TNT this October, several teams have the chance to progress to All Out for a shot at 'First Round Byes' in the tourney by winning matches on events in the interim.

Put another way, they'll potentially have to win two matches in order to get a bye for one, which...doesn't make much sense. No matter, because the potential is there for a cracking tournament featuring match after match of scintillating tag action that'll differentiate AEW from WWE's up and down interest in the tag ranks. A look at the group's first pay-per-view, Double Or Nothing, proves that tag-team wrestling is important in All Elite.
