Where to start with All Elite Wrestling at the moment?
The promotion has remained near the top of the professional wrestling news cycle despite WWE's recent upturn under Triple H's creative lead, albeit for reasons most would view as far from positive. Between talk of CM Punk going into business for himself on last week's Dynamite, the now-former AEW World Champion's beef with 'Hangman' Adam Page, bad blood in the women's division, rumours of contract tampering, and other situations, recent reporting paints a chaotic backstage picture in Jacksonville. AEW is quickly cultivating a wild, unruly reputation in line with wrestling history. This is how the sport has always been.
And it's how last night's Dynamite was as well.
This show was pure chaos. A wild, white-knuckle ride from start to finish, it hit the airwaves at some close to full gear and didn't relent until the clock struck 10 PM on the east coast. By the end, AEW had delivered one of its most eventful television shows ever.
It'll be debated ad nauseam, too, particularly for what happened when Jon Moxley and CM Punk unified the AEW World Championship. We'll open that can of worms later.
