Raw on Monday night was a great example of WWE doing a lot of little things right, nailing a couple of big things, and still managing to light a couple of dumpster fires along the way.

The World Heavyweight Championship feud between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura is careening off the rails, with the champ giving deranged promos while selling an injured back that still doesn’t prevent him from flying around the ring like normal. Rollins claiming to lose control Monday night was high comedy as they’ve completely lost the thread on a once-promising title feud.

On the flip side, everything surrounding Jey Uso seemed to click Monday night, with his presence triggering strong emotions among wrestlers wronged by the Bloodline through the years, most notably Kevin Owens and Drew McIntyre. Both men are deep into their feelings on this one and reacting strongly, slowly losing their grip on normalcy and pushing back against others.

The highlight for Raw has to be the surprisingly incredible match between Kofi Kingston and Ivar, as two tag wrestlers had a fun, energetic battle that did more to spark interest in their tag feud than anything else has to this point. Just a joy to watch as it ramped up and hit a fever pitch.
