9 Reasons To Be Optimistic About WWE 2018

Was 2017 the strangest year in recent memory? Professional wrestling fans might be inclined to say so. Jinder Mahal held the WWE Championship for six months, Goldberg won his first wrestling title in well over a decade and Chris Jericho turned up in New Japan to challenge Kenny Omega. Absolutely anything is possible in wrestling.

WWE fans can be forgiven for approaching the new year with no small amount of pessimism though. Given the amount of talent available, 2017 must go down as one of the most underwhelming in recent history. Vince McMahon isn’t known for his willingness to change, so will 2018 be more of the same?

It may well be, but the WWE Universe has plenty of reasons to be optimistic going forward. It's a dangerous feeling for wrestling fans, but who’s to say that 2018 isn’t going to be the greatest year in recent history? Let’s get involved in a little bit of festive optimism.
