9 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 25)

Teleportation, Vince McMahon ribs, and a damn good title fight.

Another week, another episode of AEW Dynamite in an empty Daily's Place, throughout which the promotion once again did an admirable job of steering its ship through troubled waters.

These are difficult, unprecedented times, and the escapism offered by AEW and WWE's continued programming is most welcome. It may not last, though. Orange County, FL, goes into lockdown from 11pm this evening and it might only be a matter of time before similar "stay at home" orders creep upstate, rendering AEW unable to film in Jacksonville. Let's hope reports of them filming as much footage as possible last night were accurate.

The ongoing global situation made AEW's Blood and Guts plans impossible this week. With the big match postponed, a face-to-face confrontation between Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho was slotted into the main event, as 'The Painmaker' met the newcomer's Broken Brilliance for the very first time. Elsewhere, we got an exhibition match pitting Cody against Jimmy Havoc, Kenny Omega vs. Sammy Guevara for the AAA Mega Championship, squash outings for Brodie Lee and Jake Hager, plus loose confirmation of Jon Moxley's next AEW World Title challenger - and more.

Not as strong a show as last week, but worthwhile nonetheless. Let's break it down...
