Just hours removed from two-week special events Fyter Fest and The Great American Bash respectively, All Elite Wrestling and NXT have both lined major matches for next week's episodes as the Wednesday Night War for television ratings continues between the two brands.

AEW had already branded their July 16th show Fight For The Fallen following the news that Jon Moxley's Fyter Fest defence of the AEW Championship against Brian Cage would have to be moved back a week due to concerns over the Champion's health after his wife and WWE star Renee Young tested positive for COVID-19.

During and after last night's edition of Dynamite, AEW promoted additional matches to bolster the card, including Cody defending his TNT Championship against Sonny Kiss, The Elite reuniting to take on The Jurassic Express and FTR facing off with The Lucha Bros.

Meanwhile on NXT, Tegan Nox will get her shot at Io Shirai's NXT Women's Championship after becoming Number One Contender on last week's show, while Damian Priest will look for some overdue closure against Cameron Grimes. The black-and-gold brand may also use the show to further new stories between Keith Lee and Karrion Cross, Johnny Gargano and Finn Bálor, and/or address the fate of Adam Cole and The Undisputed Era after the 'Panama City Playboy's 403-day reign finally came to an end.
