Does The Best in the World look unhappy to you?

CM Punk may not actually be as unhappy backstage as recent reports have been suggesting.

Well, if CMFTR stablemate Dax Harwood's recent Twitter post involving the current AEW World Champion is anything to go by.

In the wake of The Best in the World controversially finding himself in the headlines lately, after his Dynamite-opening promo hinted at behind-the-scenes tension within AEW, Harwood would post a photo of himself and Punk backstage with a rather cheeky caption which seemed to take aim at the reports of Punk supposedly not being entirely happy with his All Elite life at this current moment.

As Dax the Axe would state:

"He gave me the 'jobber jaw punch' pose. And if you can't tell, he's VERY unhappy."

Punk himself hasn't exactly directly addressed the never-ending string of reports centred around the drama supposedly going down behind the AEW scenes. Though the champ did actually reflect on his first year within Tony Khan's company on the anniversary of his First Dance debut a few days ago, with Punk posting on Instagram:

"One year ago began the best year of my professional career. Too many great moments, not enough space to post all the great pics. Rekindled passion, made new friends, reunited with old ones. Can’t stop smiling, won’t stop until the wheels fall off. Thank you most of all to all the fans who made it possible. I’m having the time of my life, as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that'll be a home run. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame."

And with the star set to throw down with Jon Moxley over the Undisputed AEW World Championship on this week's Dynamite, along with MJF being reportedly on the cusp of a return to The Land of All Elite, expect Punk's name to pop up in a few more headlines before the week is over.
