As WWE's first major roster reshuffle since the 2016 draft, April's Superstar Shake-Up saw 22 acts switch between Raw and SmackDown. Both talent pools have remained constant since then, but according to this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE may be planning a second Shake-Up after SummerSlam.

While the first Shake-Up took place nine months after the brand split kicked in, the second would likely happen just five months on from the last set of major changes. This may seem early, but the Observer notes that there is a lot of talk about making a few roster moves this autumn.

In addition, this week's edition of the newsletter also states that WWE are considering moving one or more main roster superstars down to NXT. This would likely be for wrestlers who were major stars in NXT, but Vince McMahon has no intention of pushing on Raw or SmackDown, regardless of overness, and directionless main roster stars who could be promoted as top stars in developmental.

No specific names were mentioned, but this could mean the likes of Tye Dillinger and The Ascension returning to Full Sail University, or somebody like Dolph Ziggler, who has lost his way on SmackDown, making the switch.
