Bruiser Brody Amongst WWE Hall Of Fame 2019 Legacy Inductees
Full list of recipients revealed.
Programmes given away at WrestleMania Axxess have revealed nine names set to be inducted as part of the 'Legacy' wing of WWE's Hall of Fame this year, confirming the four recipients leaked yesterday.
The most notable inclusion amongst the selections is Frank 'Bruiser Brody' Goodish, a man who in the '70s and early '80s innovated the brash, brawling style which would eventually become the template for the Attitude Era. He has long been conspicuous by his absence from the Hall of Fame, which many have attributed to his tragic murder at the hands of José González in 1988.
In addition to the four inductees we learned yesterday, Mr. Fuji's long-time tag-team partner Professor Toru Tanaka and wrestling journeyman SD Jones - perhaps best remembered for his nine-second defeat to King Kong Bundy at WrestleMania - will join Brody in the Legacy wing this year.
Primo Carnera, Madison Square Garden Network creator Joseph Cohen, and one-time on-screen WWF President Hisashi Shinma will round out this year's class.
