Roman Reigns has told WWE on FOX's Ryan Satin that he wants to wrestle his fellow Samoan wrestling dynasty member, The Rock, at WrestleMania 39.
'The Tribal Chief' said the following:-
"He's the biggest box office attraction for the big screen, so to be able to take that and match it up with the biggest box office attraction in sports entertainment... I think some magic would be made."
On waiting two more years to face wrestling's greatest mainstream crossover star:-
"We'll go to Hollywood for WrestleMania 39, and I think it just makes sense."
WWE confirmed last week that WM39 will go down at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium on 2 April 2023. This venue was originally booked for WrestleMania 37 this year, though WWE elected to move that show to the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida as a consequence of the ongoing global health crisis.
Roman currently reigns supreme as dominant Universal Champion on WWE SmackDown. Him vs. The Rock is unquestionably the money match for WWE at the moment, towering over anything else the company could realistically put together over the next few years. Rocky's Hollywood career means much red tape will need to be cut between now and it eventually going down, however.
