WWE will double down on their recent divisive Lana/Bobby Lashley/Rusev storyline with a "Divorce Court" segment on this week's Monday Night Raw.
A play off the usual King's Court interview set piece, the warring wedded pair will reunite on-screen for the first time since the 'Bulgarian Brute' got himself in bother for crashing a dinner date between his ex-wife and 'The Almighty' during last week's edition of the show.
The company have used Lawler in these soap-style angles before, most notably during the unintentionally hilarious Bella Twins battle in 2014 - his mere presence strips the veneer of anything serious taking place, which will surely help the camp cr*p stay over.
With YouTube viewing figures high for the videos featuring the trio as well as Raw's rating performing better than expected against Monday Night Football last week, the company appear to be steering into the story in an effort to maintain viewer interest - a strategy that may prove successful following the advanced promotion of this particular segment. It's butchered Rusev's main event aspirations since his return, but will presumably put all three performers back in Vince McMahon's good graces should it succeed yet again.
