Lio Rush has seemingly become one of WWE's biggest backstage heatseekers in 2019, with February bringing reports that 205 Live's 'Man Of The Hour' had developed a reputation for rubbing other wrestlers the wrong way.

The story was reignited yesterday, with Dave Meltzer writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rush still has "internal heat," and it's down to his perceived overconfidence backstage. He notes that Rush isn't shy of stating that he thinks he should be a top guy on Raw.

'The 24-Year-Old Piece Of Rush' has since commented on the matter through his Twitter page:-

It's hard to take umbrage with anything he sees there, though his words do little to dismiss the reports outright.

If Rush does have backstage heat on him, it doesn't appear to be having an adverse impact on his career, with the high-flyer still being featured as Bobby Lashley's manager on Monday nights. 205 Live's threadbare roster means he'll almost certainly become a major fixture there soon, with babyface Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese short on potential heel opponents.

Whatever Lio's situation, he has done well to advance his career over the past 12 months. Rush was stuck in developmental limbo a year ago; now, he's on two separate main roster brands almost every week.
