There was considerable confusion over the match order for last night's WWE Survivor Series 2021 pay-per-view.

Fightful Select, who had reported that Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair would headline prior to the event hitting the airwaves, stated that while a number of the show's runsheets were printed and distributed with the correct lineup, some went out in reverse order. This was likely where the impression that Lynch and Flair would go last came from, as they ended up working the opener.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson notes that the match order for Survivor Series was locked down weeks ago, acknowledging that some crew members had received the reverse order. In their report, Fightful state the the order was, indeed, confirmed well before the show itself.

The same Fightful report notes that some people backstage in WWE developed the impression that the main event had been moved from E vs. Reigns to Becky vs. Charlotte because The Rock wasn't going to be at the show. Fortunately, some of the incorrect runsheets were updated prior to the PPV.

As covered earlier, some WWE team members were concerned upon learning that The Rock wasn't going to be there, though not enough to press the issue.
