Potential SPOILERS On WWE's Plan For Roman Reigns Vs. Brock Lesnar
The latest on WrestleMania 38 plans for Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is the only match officially announced for WrestleMania 38 (2 and 3 April) at the moment, with Lesnar announcing his intention of facing the Universal Champion on Monday's post-Royal Rumble episode of Raw.
As things stand, it looks like that match won't just be for the Universal strap.
Dave Meltzer writes in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the current mood within WWE is that Vince McMahon is going to make Lesnar vs. Reigns title vs. title. People inside the promotion have been pushing for this, including Lesnar himself and Paul Heyman, who has been central to the feud.
This was why Lesnar was thrown into the upcoming WWE Title Elimination Chamber match on 19 February. Monday's Raw saw him unveiled alongside other participants AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, Riddle, and Bobby Lashley, who won the WWE Championship from Lesnar at Royal Rumble 2022.
Lesnar's current WWE schedule has him working Raw until the post-Elimination Chamber episode before switching over to SmackDown ahead of WrestleMania 38. Whether or not McMahon ultimately opts to strap him with the WWE Title remains to be seen, though he seems to be leaning in that direction at the moment.
