As we’ve seen over the years, it can be difficult to accurately predict the future in professional wrestling.

In 2015, no one would have guessed with any sort of confidence that A.J. Styles would hold the WWE Title for months. Samoa Joe and Triple H being aligned would have sounded too far-fetched in 2014. And in 2016, betting Goldberg would return to WWE, destroy Brock Lesnar in 86 seconds, then become Universal Champion probably would have resulted in others questioning your sanity.

However, Vince McMahon is still a creature of habit. He has a history of how he likes to push certain wrestlers. For example: People with good looks, nice smiles and big muscles are always going to get preferential treatment. On the reverse side, someone who isn't from the United States is usually going to have to work harder to get noticed by him. Basically, we can make comparisons to how wrestlers fared in the past to predict how others will fare going forward.

For this list we’re going to look at 10 current popular NXT acts and rank them based on how well they will likely succeed in the coming years in WWE. We're not going by the judgment of Triple H, but Vince himself. Fortunately, as we've seen recently, he is more willing to push indy darling like Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. That opens things up a bit, but still, the man does have a "type."

From green rookies to long-time veterans, let's predict the future of 10 NXT wrestlers.
