Shawn Michaels Vs. The Undertaker OFF After Triple H's Injury?
Long-term absence puts two huge bouts in jeopardy.
As reported over the weekend, Triple H tore his pectoral muscle while wrestling Kane and The Undertaker alongside Shawn Michaels at Crown Jewel. He's now set for surgery, and while his return timeline is currently unclear, it could have major ramifications for WWE's booking plans.
One of these involves the rumoured Michaels vs. 'Taker singles clash, which, per WrestleVotes, is now in extreme jeopardy.
This bout obviously hadn't been confirmed, but rumours had it taking place at Survivor Series 2018 following a predicted D-Generation X victory over the Brothers Of Destruction in Saudi Arabia. Though Shawn and Triple H were triumphant, it sounds like WWE would want 'The Game' to second his partner in the event of one last Undertaker vs. Michaels singles clash.
A lengthy absence could also mean the teased Triple H vs. Batista WrestleMania 35 showdown being canned. Again, this contest was far from confirmed, but it was hinted at during the Evolution reunion on SmackDown 1000, sparking major excitement for next year's 'Show Of Shows.'
Triple H's injury may well be addressed on tonight's Raw, though it sounds like Michaels has already made up his mind regarding wrestling again.
