Triple H is set to undergo surgery after picking up a serious injury during his match at WWE Crown Jewel this Friday.

Hunter suffered a torn pectoral muscle during the main-event contest, in which he partnered with Shawn Michaels opposite The Undertaker and Kane. WWE.com have reported that he'll be heading back to the United States for surgery this week.

The Game began awkwardly holding his chest after taking a heavy bump over the ropes to the outside early on. From that point, the contest seemed to fall apart, with the blighted Triple H seemingly unable to use one arm. It soon became very clear he was being carried through his limited offence - most notable during an awkward spot where he and The Undertaker somehow whipped one another towards the barricade.

Despite the injury, Triple H gamely saw the match to its conclusion, eventually downing Kane following a pedigree.

Recovery time for a torn pectoral muscle can be anywhere between a few weeks and a few months. As surgery is required, early prognosis tends towards the latter - meaning Triple H is likely to miss any scheduled appearance in Survivor Series' 5-on-5 Raw vs. SmackDown main event.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
