It’s a familiar feeling: WWE is heading into the annual Royal Rumble and its top star, John Cena, posts a cryptic image of the Bullet Club leader.

Last year, Cena created a buzz when he uploaded an image of AJ Styles to his Instagram account. On January 8, the 15-time WWE World Champion posted an image of the Bullet Club’s current torchbearer, Kenny Omega.

Reminiscent of Styles’ WWE arrival, will Omega make his debut as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match? That’s doubtful, as his New Japan Pro Wrestling contract does not expire until January 31 – two days after the Royal Rumble. But will the two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion join the company soon after? Now that’s a real possibility.

WWE chief operating officer Paul Levesque, more popularly known as Triple H, expressed the company’s interest in Omega.

"As far as a Kenny Omega goes, I'm just interested in talent, period," Levesque said in an interview with ESPN UK. "If somebody is talented as a performer and they wanna come work for the WWE, if they wanna come to the largest platform in the world where they can truly show what they do off on a global basis, then WWE is the choice for them. If they wanna come work for us and they're very talented, then I'm interested in talking to them, and that's across the board.”
