The Miz reclaimed the Intercontinental Title on last night's historic edition of Monday Night Raw after defeating Roman Reigns in the evening's finest clash. 'The A-Lister' was victorious in the only advertised contest for the Barclays Center portion of the show's 25 year celebration.

In an inventive conclusion, Miz took advantage of Reigns' missed spear into a the middle turnbuckle - earlier exposed by Bo Dallas - to nail the Skull Crushing Finale to win his eighth strap.

Bizarrely, the new Champion was one of the few to make the trip across the East River to appear in front of the Manhattan Center crowd, though only in an appearance exclusive to those less-than-lucky few in attendance.

Miz is creeping up on some significant records as result of the win. He's now only one reign behind Chris Jericho, and now has less than a hundred days to go before he takes the record for longest serving Intercontinental Champion ever. Now at an impressive 524 days over his eight spells, he'll pass Don Muraco's 541 in just over two weeks before chasing Pedro Morales' lofty 619.
