Triple H Planning Under-The-Radar WWE Surprises?
More WWE surprises are coming - including names you aren't even talking about.
It doesn't sound like the current surprise-laden era of WWE television will be coming to an end anytime soon.
As reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque still has some surprises left up his sleeve, including names that aren't currently being talked about.
This comes in the midst of Levesque's honeymoon period as WWE's creative lead, a position he inherited in the wake of Vince McMahon's 22 July resignation as Chairman and CEO. Braun Strowman, Dexter Lumis, Karrion Kross, Dakota Kai, and more have returned to the promotion since WWE's regime change, which has also seen Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan installed as co-CEOs.
Levesque and WWE have a lengthy list of comeback candidates available to them. Dozens of wrestlers were released by the promotion in 2020 and 2021, with "budget cuts" typically given as the official reason. The biggest free agent left on the market, Bray Wyatt, is amongst those believed to have held return talks.
Beyond critical reception, which is subjective, Triple H's creative custodianship has coincided with an upturn in television ratings. This week's Raw stands as a notable exception, though this was to be expected with the NFL's return.
