After much speculation, FTR have officially signed new deals to remain with AEW for the foreseeable future. Now though, there's an update on when exactly Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler penned these contracts.

Via the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestlingNews.co), Dave Meltzer notes how he was told "months ago" that these contracts had been agreed upon.

As Meltzer explained, this wasn't reported on at the time because "nobody could say so publicly" due to the storyline of whether or not FTR would re-sign with AEW or instead potentially return to WWE.

It's worth noting, Mike Johnson over at PWInsider.com had reported earlier in the year that Dax and Cash had already signed new AEW deals. At that time, Harwood used his FTR with Dax podcast to rubbish such reports, claiming that he and his long-time tag team partner had still yet to make a decision on what was next for their careers.

FTR recently defeated the Gunns to become the new AEW Tag Team Champions, with the stipulation being that Harwood and Wheeler would have to leave AEW should they have lost. Since then, Friday's Rampage saw the tandem confirm that they've signed new four-year contracts with AEW, and that FTR will likely retire once those deals expire.
