After CM Punk lashed out at a fan for hitting him on Raw this past Monday (albeit striking what appeared to be the wrong person), questions came up regarding who was in the wrong. Was it WWE/the Venue for not having relevant security in place? Punk for hitting out? The fans for seemingly pushing and aggravating the WWE Champion in the first place? Fault could easily be placed on all parties. With Punk taking a swing at the fan, the WWE has needed to issue a statement explaining the situation and apologising for the actions of their Superstar. This had to be the case, due to it being the first time this has happened in the crowd environment. Previous attempts by fans to take out their frustrations on Superstars, or just get themselves noticed on national television, have occurred when they have got a bit too overzealous and tried to enter the Squared Circle. As you will see over the coming pages, when fans try to get too involved, it rarely works out for them.
