WWE 13 promises to turn back the clock over a decade, taking us back to the 1997-2001 hot period of wrestling when Vince McMahon didn't have a monopoly on sports entertainment and he was under pressure to turn out the best television each and every week and create new stars. Oh, how those were the days. 30 superstars from the Attitude Era have been named as part of the playable roster for the new game and although we have been told the full list is subject to change right up until August, it is unlikely THQ will alter the Attitude Era section too much with the tweaks instead coming in the contemporary list. The superstars confirmed for the Attitude Era mode is below;
Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Edge & Christian, New Age Outlaws, Road Warriors, , X-Pac, Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack, Trish Stratus, Lita, Big Show, Kane, Davey Boy Smith, Vader, Mark Henry, Ken Shamrock, Godfather and Big Bossman.
But what about the wrestlers who didn't make the cut? Here's the ten biggest WWE Attitude Era Superstars who won't be in the game.
10. Gangrel
One of the coolest entrances in WWE's Attitude Era won't be a part of WWE 13. The gothic vampire would come to the ring elevated from the floor and spit blood into the crowd. He was a decent enough worker in the ring with a good gimmick for his talents but once Edge and Christian became the bigger selling points of their trio "The Brood", the WWE struggled to find anything more for him again and he was soon released after the acquisition of WCW. Still for his awesome entrance he had alone, it is a huge shame he has been omitted from the new game and we can't have a Brood reunion in WWE 13.
